CUSTOMER REVIEW: SIMCO-ION-TECHNOLOGY GROUP
Effective and innovative way to structure and present complex information
Mr. Mark Hogsett is an Application Engineering Manager at Simco-Ion Technology Group. The nature of his job requires him to be very well organized and as productive as can be so he can meet his deadlines on time and present proposals and results in an engaging manner. Working in a constantly demanding environment and will different people was a great challenge for him to be innovative and keep all the information organized on top level.
The Problem
Mark’s job required him to have presentations in the high technology industries (semiconductor, flat panel display, medical device, etc.) across Europe, Asia, North and Central America. Quite often his audiences were mixed in terms of technical expertise, so Mark had to stop his presentation often and check if everybody was involved and understood the problem that was being discussed. He noticed that sometimes people that would get distracted for a longer period of time were unable to get re-involved in the presentations making them somewhat ineffective.
The Solution
iMindQ has greatly added to the visual appearance of Mark’s presentations, presenting rather complex information in a different innovative way. He attaches links, images and notes to topics that require additional explanation. For mind maps that present sequential flow, like risk assessments etc. iMindQ’s presentation flow proved to be more effective, allowing people to focus on the flow, rather than getting lost in the probability and statistics. Following this practice he started using iMindQ’s presentation feature even for technical engineering reports.
The Outcome
Mark’s has realized significant efficiencies with their new presentation and reporting system using iMindQ. He instantly collects feedback as presenting and includes it in a mind map, striving to make every next presentation more effective, productive and understandable than the last one. Employees are now more focused and actively participate in the presentations instead of getting lost in the data. These new processes have saved on average five to seven hours per week outlining new and in-progress client presentations.
